  • The PHP framework, Laravel
  • The CMS, Statamic
  • Bespoke API (Laravel)

And they’re looking for a Mid to Senior-level Full Stack Developer to join the team.



The role

You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications and systems. Your primary focus will be on backend development using PHP and the Laravel framework, while you will also contribute to front-end tasks as needed. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, high-performance solutions.


Responsibilities include:

  • Implement and optimise database structures, queries, and performance.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues across the stack.
  • Ensure code quality, security, and best practices are maintained.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive and innovative.

To be successful, you’ll have…

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on PHP and Laravel.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Eloquent).
  • A strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Proven experience in leading projects and mentoring junior developers.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a proactive approach, and be someone who can take initiative and make decisions independently.



Ideal (but not essential)

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
  • Experience and skill in working on and improving high-traffic web applications.
  • An understanding of good usability and user experience.
