To be responsible for IT Infrastructure within the organisation, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved. To work collaboratively with business colleagues and the rest of the IT team to ensure that IT infrastructure is managed to the highest standards within a controlled, process driven, environment.


Responsibilities

  • To lead the IT Infrastructure team, ensuring all team members are appropriately trained to deliver the required technical support and infrastructure services
  • To manage, maintain and improve the IT infrastructure, whether hosted on-premise or in the cloud.
  • To work closely with the mobile, support and project teams to provide high quality back office service provision.
  • To work closely with the IT security team to ensure that threats and vulnerabilities to the IT infrastructure are efficiently dealt with
  • To work closely with the IT security team to ensure that ‘security first’ decisions are made across all technical platforms
  • 2Help define technical strategy to ensure that systems are optimised for mobility, resiliency, high-availability, system recovery and cost effectiveness.
  • Manage Disaster Recovery for the IT systems
  • Manage Meeting room/conference call systems
  • Manage Datacentre core infrastructure such as power, cooling and fire systems.
  • Manage support agreements and relationships with Infrastructure suppliers
  • Occasional on call/out of hour’s responsibilities


Skills

  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of SCCM, Intune, Office 365
  • Experience in on-premise server management, AWS and Azure technologies
  • Experience in datacentre management
  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN/VOIP/Wireless technologies
  • Line management
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of an organisation regarding IT infrastructure.
