Join a dynamic and busy transport company based in Essex. We are seeking a Transport Operator/Administrator to help manage the day-to-day operations of our transport services. The role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Job Input: Enter new transport jobs into the TOPS (Transport Operations Planning and Scheduling) system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Email Management: Monitor designated email folders for new bookings and amendments, ensuring all relevant information is actioned promptly.
  • Pin Release via DESTIN8: Manage the pin release process using the DESTIN8 platform, ensuring timely clearance for container movements.
  • Driver Coordination: Stay in regular contact with drivers to confirm they are on schedule and provide updates to customers regarding any delays or late arrivals.
  • Customer Communication: Send Proof of Delivery (POD) documents to customers upon job completion and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication.
  • Route Planning: Plan and route vehicles effectively using the TOPS system, optimizing delivery schedules and ensuring efficient use of company resources.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with transport management systems, particularly TOPS and DESTIN8
  • Previous experience in the transport or logistics industry is an advantage

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, full-time, daytime shifts.
