Sports Coach
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Salary: £95 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education’s South Yorkshire branch is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join one of our client schools in Rotherham. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports and committed to supporting young people in their physical and emotional development. As a Sports Coach, you will inspire students to engage in physical activities, develop their skills, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship.

Key Responsibilities for Sports Coach:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging sports sessions tailored to students' abilities and needs.
  • Promote the physical and mental benefits of sports and physical education.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other sports professionals to enhance the PE curriculum.
  • Encourage students to develop teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and involvement.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all sports activities.

Qualifications and Experience for Sports Coach:

  • Relevant qualifications in Sports Coaching, Physical Education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with young people in a school or sports setting.
  • Strong knowledge of a range of sports and physical activities.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to participate in sports and physical activity.
  • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
