Therole: This role is working for a very exciting and wellestablishedMedia and Publishing business with a brilliant brand in the sectorand exciting strategy for the future. They are hiring for anexciting Commercial Finance Analyst opportunity reporting directlyto the Commercial Finance Manager. You will be a core member of thewider finance team and play a key part in supporting andstrengthening the finance function. You will work with key businessowners by providing financial analysis commercial insight to helpdrive results for the business. You will be the key businesspartner to two elements of the business that will be coveringhighgrowth areas. The individual will have ownership of the overallprint advertising budgets meaning youll also be engaging with anumber of stakeholders across the business. RoleResponsibilities:

  • Ownershipof the overall print advertising budgets means youll also beengaging with a number of stakeholders across thebusiness.
  • Ownership of monthly and quarterlyplanning forecasting and review processes. Challenging planningassumptions across multiple teams to ensure accuracy and identifyrisks and opportunities. Own upkeep and be the expert on detailedcommercial plans
  • Undertake investment appraisaland business cases for new campaigns and incentives including postinvestment reviews. Working with the commercial teams to track andreport on revenue performance and the trends within category andtitle performance
  • Contribute to strategythrough the development of budgets forecasts and business plans anddevelop best practise forecast modelling and trendanalytics
  • Own reporting and analysis fordifferent revenuestreams

CandidateRequirements:

  • QualifiedAccountant (ACCA ACA CIMA orequivalent)
  • Experience in a commercialfinance/business partnering roles within a listedcompany
  • Experience across print and digitaladvertising ecommerce and affiliate revenues desirable but notessential.
  • Excellent communication skills andconfidence in partnering withstakeholders
  • Confident in identifying resolvingand escalating key points and issues
  • Experiencein a Publishing/Media business or a similar industry desirable butnotessential
