The post holder will work as part of the Health Protection Service, either at their designated work base or as part of an agile, patient-facing, outreach team at any location within north Wales, under the direction and support of a Registered Nurse by following the Health Board’s protocols, policies, standard operating procedures, pathways, clinical governance requirements and care plans.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work as part of the Health Protection Service delivering evidence based high quality clinical care that focuses on the direct need of the patient.
The post holder will assist registered nurses/practitioner in the provision of delegated care of patients. The post holder will endeavour to provide for the holistic needs of the individual, in conjunction with other disciplines within the health protection environment.
The post holder will undertake a broad range of duties and will be expected to work independently and as part of the team, supervising patients and assisting them with future care plan.
The post holder will also be required to offer assistance in induction of junior healthcare workers and apprenticeships.
The post holder will be able to deliver elements of health and social care by having the knowledge and assessed level of competence to undertake such a role which will be locally assessed.
