GSL Education is seeking a passionate English Teacher to join a client school in Folkestone. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced English Teacher to inspire young learners, design engaging lesson plans, and support students’ progress both academically and personally. As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of your students, including those with SEND and SEMH needs, by delivering English lessons aligned with the curriculum.

Responsibilities of an English Teacher:

  • Teach English to students according to the school’s Key Stages.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Create tailored lesson plans and syllabi to meet individual and group needs.
  • Support students with SEND and SEMH needs in a classroom environment.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with various academic abilities.
  • Monitor and track student progress, offering constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning environment.

English Teacher Job Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent such as PGCE, NQT, or ECT is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English or an education-related field is required.
  • Proven experience as an English Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding and experience in working with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Ability to prepare students for Key Stage assessments and exams.
