CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT FELLOWS IN

PAEDIATRIC SURGERY and PAEDIATRIC ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY   FOR CHILDREN

Applications are invited for the above posts commencing on 7th August 2024 for one year. You must have completed the foundation programme or equivalent. You must hold GMC registration and a licence to practice. There may be several posts available and this will be confirmed at interview. All successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on specific areas of development such as Medical Education (simulation training for Foundation Doctors and practical skills teaching to medical students), audit, service development programs and quality improvement projects.

This post will not lead to a CCT in the specialty, but time spent in this post may be beneficial in applying to specialty training in various areas of Surgery or in related paediatric surgical specialties.

Post holders will be expected to participate fully in the departmental educational programme and be subject to learning agreement and engagement with the ISCP process. Although these posts do not hold educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean, they will give valuable experience in paediatric surgical and associated specialities (general surgery, urology, orthopaedics and Neonatology).

To practice medicine in the you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice.
