As an ECT English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to develop your teaching skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. You’ll be part of a dedicated English department that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a love for reading and writing among students.

ECT English Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that inspire a passion for English.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Prepare students for exams, helping them achieve their best possible outcomes.
  • Participate in department meetings and collaborate on curriculum development.
  • Engage with extracurricular activities to enrich students' learning experiences.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.

ECT English Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
  • A proactive and positive attitude to professional development.
