The roleof postman or postwoman is working for Royal Mail and is based inBanbury.

Shiftsfor Postman or Postwoman (Must be flexible with yourhours):

  • 12:30to 19:00
  • Monday to Friday, occasionalSaturdays

Pay:

  • 13.37 p/h
  • Paidweekly

MainDuties of Postman orPostwoman:

Ourfriendly face in the local community, your day will start with youspending an hour or so in the local delivery office, sorting themail for your route, and heading out on foot or in a van to startyour round. You'll then be responsiblefor:

  1. Delivering mail and parcels tohouses and businesses within the area
  2. Workingflexible hours to deliver outstanding levels ofservice
  3. Using a hand-held computer device toact as a routing system and capture customersignatures
  4. To succeed, you will need a validmanual Cat B licence with no more than 6 points. You'll alsoneed:
  • Good time keepingand customer service skills
  • A professionalappearance and attitude and confidence when dealing withpeople
  • The ability to work equally well as partof a team and on your owninitiative

You will be required tocomplete delivery routes on foot as well as in a van so you must bephysically fit.

PLEASE NOTE: You willbe required to Complete Royal Mail VettingProcess.
