We are looking for a dedicated SEN teacher to join a vibrant and supportive primary school, specialising in the education of children with diverse needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to help students actively thrive academically, socially and emotionally in a nurturing environment.
About the role:
As a SEN Teacher, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating tailored learning experiences for young learners with a range of additional needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional and mental health challenges (SEMH) and complex learning difficulties. The responsibilities of a SEN teacher will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning goals
- Building positive relationships with students to foster confidence and motivation
- Collaborating with teaching assistants and other staff members to provide holistic support
- Assessing student progress and adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Promoting an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where every child can succeed
What we’re looking for:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children, preferably in a primary setting
- Sound knowledge and understanding of SEN and strategies to support young people
- A creative, empathetic and patient approach to teaching
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
