Main duties of the job

Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like to work in a rapidly changing and demanding environment that is committed to providing clinical expertise and excellent patient experience?

We now have apprenticeship opportunities for candidates aged 18+ who are interested in becoming Clinical Support Workers. You will be required to attend apprenticeship workshops and complete various assignments, throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Kind and caring
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Able to follow instruction and procedures in line with Trust Policy
  • Able to demonstrate using own initiative
  • Be flexible

Some of the responsibilities within the role of Clinical Support Worker are:

  • Communicating with patients
  • Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Taking patients physiological observations
  • Cleaning chairs in between treatment
  • Talking / listening to patients

The Trust can also offer you a flexible career approach to learning which comprises of a “step on” and “step off” option.

This is a training post, while applicants must undertake 16 months apprenticeship.

***Applicants will be invited to part take in an diagnostic assessment of Maths and English in relation to the apprenticeship**
