Reports to: Global Supplier Quality Manager

Manage, assess and coordinate the review of all materials, raw material suppliers, packaging suppliers and contract manufacturers, centered on ensuring strict compliance to quality standards and legality to form a robust due diligence defence and business protection

Responsibilities And Duties

Review new approvals, maintain and develop THG supplier process/database in accordance to food safety, quality and due diligence requirementsMaintain, develop and review of VACCP/TACCP risk assessments (including Horizon Scanning)Analyse and interpret microbiological resultsMember of the HACCP team and a key contact for all technical related issuesEnsure and maintain full traceability of all materials used on siteProvide technical input for all developmental work to ensure all new products are safe, legal and meet strict quality standardsManage the upkeep of accurate specifications and relevant documentation for all raw materials, contract manufactured goods and packaging used at THG encompassing HACCP, legality, process and qualitySupport multiple cross functional teams in THGMaintain effective communication and relationships with suppliersDrive improvements in supply base through complaints and NCR reductionAnalyse, trend and report dataMaintain development of THG supplier approval and compliance online systemCarry out internal audits in accordance with scheduleConduct external audits where appropriateKnowledge or self-motivation to understand raw material processes and relevant legislation requirementsEnsure process and procedural compliance to relevant site certificationsAssist in relevant site certification auditsManage and support direct reports

Requirements

Degree level qualification in Chemistry, Food science, Microbiology or other relevant scientific disciplinePrevious experience in Supplier Quality Assurance in food manufacturing or food-based industryExperience in TACCP and VACCP assessmentsStrong knowledge of HACCP and food safetyExperience in leading internal audits and external supplier auditsExperience with Food Safety RegulationsCompetent user of Microsoft Office with proficient computer skillsStrong attention to detailExcellent presentation skillsExcellent communication skills across all levels within the businessSelf-motivated and enthusiasticStrong ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloadsExperience in management desirableCapable of motivating and leading othersExperience within ISO, FDA and BRC audits including the preparation, leading and maintenance of relevant standards
