Citizen Coin Project Lead

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead on an exciting new initiative designed to stimulate and reward volunteering in the Wakefield district.

What will be expected from me?

The purpose of this role is to lead on the implementation, embedding and project management of a new initiative called Citizen Coin which Wakefield Council have procured for all partners to use to recruit and reward volunteers for doing social good.

To do this you will be required to use strong and effective communication skills to articulate the benefits of the product, lead on the recruitment of rewarding agencies and businesses to the platform, train them in it’s use, work with stakeholders to co-design a communications strategy for the public and partners.


What I might be doing?

You will work with organisations from a range of sectors (council, VCSE, health, business) to onboard and train them in the use of the Citizen Coin platform. Project manage the initiative; this will include project management of the contract with the provider, developing action plans, gathering relevant qualitative and quantitative data which supports monitoring and evaluation. You will link with relevant internal and external colleagues/partners who can support with the embedding of Citizen Coin. Work with partners to co-produce a communications strategy for Citizen Coin You will lead the Citizen Coin working group and report to the project management board. You will report on outcomes as part of Public Health workstreams. You will provide high level reports for the Transformation Board, Residents and Business First workstream. You will actively support a number of Boards and Committees as required, including preparation and execution of reports.

Essential requirements:

Educated to recognised level 5 qualification or Degree level in a relevant subject area. Or the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and skill gained through relevant experience and employment. Evidence of on-going professional development. Knowledge and experience of planning, developing and implementing approaches to promote positive health and wellbeing. Negotiating and influencing skills to encourage partner participation. Substantial experience of overcoming barriers and engaging with residents from all backgrounds, especially underrepresented communities. Ability to research, evaluate and implement recommendations for service improvement.
