Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Audiologist to join our team, specialising in hearing assessments for children aged 0-16. The ideal candidate will be skilled in various audiological evaluation techniques and committed to providing high-quality care to young patients and their families. Applicants must have a minimum of 1 years experience and must have used 'Auditbase' in previous roles

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments for children under 4 years, including Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA), tympanometry, and performance testing (insert or free-field). Perform headphone performance testing and tympanometry for children aged 4-7, utilising engaging assessment methods such as the McCormick Toy Test or Manchester Picture Test. Administer Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) and tympanometry for children aged 7-16, ensuring accurate and reliable results. Interpret test results, develop individualised treatment plans, and provide recommendations for further intervention or referrals as necessary. Collaborate with families to explain assessment results and provide guidance on hearing health and management options. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessments and treatment plans in the Audiology database (Auditbase). Stay updated on best practices in paediatric audiology and participate in ongoing professional development. Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Qualifications: Masters or Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) from an accredited program. Current state licensure to practice audiology. Experience working with paediatric populations is essential. Proficiency in using audiological equipment and software, including tympanometry and Audiology databases. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to families in an understandable manner. Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.
