Job Description

As a Manufacturing Project Engineer, you will be joining the Derby team to support our activities within the aerospace sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Leading and coordinate manufacturing projects from concept to delivery, ensuring of the project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Managing engineering teams to plan and perform surveillance and approval of contractor deliverables and design activities.
  • Providing technical expertise and support the manufacturing team with troubleshooting issues and implementing correct actions to ensure of production operations.
  • Collaborating with suppliers, maintaining accurate project documentation including manufacturing procedures, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality components.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles within the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and familiarity with ERP systems for manufacturing.
  • Strong technical proficiency in manufacturing processes, including machining, fabrication, assembly, and finishing techniques.
  • Good knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP, FAA regulations).
  • Degree in a relevant engineering field.
