New Alternative Investment Fund Tax Manager

Our client is seeking a motivated and ambitious Tax Manager with a strong background in UK Income and Corporate Tax compliance and advisory services to join their esteemed Alternative Investment Funds team within the Financial Services Tax business in London.
The team is a diverse group of tax, legal, and regulatory specialists dedicated to supporting alternative investment fund managers across all aspects of their business. This includes working with fund managers, key personnel, funds, investors, and investments.
The international nature of the industry provides extensive opportunities to collaborate with a global network, making this role both exciting and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Portfolio Management: Liaise with the compliance centre to manage a portfolio of clients. Participate in client meetings, ensure adherence to timelines, support the compliance team with tax analysis, and conduct technical reviews of prepared work.
- Advisory Projects: Lead advisory-focused projects by researching and summarising technical tax analysis for clients within the AIF team.
- Team Leadership: Help manage the team to deliver exceptional advisory services to clients worldwide. Understand clients' businesses and transactions to identify and present timely opportunities.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain close relationships with a diverse range of clients. Collaborate as part of a team to deliver comprehensive AIF services.
- Professional Development: Benefit from a supportive environment that encourages the development of client relationships, technical skills, and people management abilities. Work alongside experienced Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers to refine your expertise in tax.
Requirements:
- Practical experience in corporate, business, partnerships, or OMB tax teams is ideal but not essential if other relevant experience can be demonstrated.
- Proven ability to deliver quality work and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Ability to collaborate with Partners and Directors to grow the business.
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or equivalent.
- Experience with asset classes such as private equity, hedge funds, or private credit is advantageous but not essential.
