Keyresponsibilities
Undertakeeffective and efficient assessment of people we support includingrisk assessments the development of care/support plans and ensuringthat these are tailored to individual needs andpreferences.
Supporting with the safeadministering of medication and monitoring people we supportshealth needs. Supporting and guiding colleagues includingperformance reviews and 11s ensuring effective team
communication and performance.
Supporting and guiding colleagues with the accurate recording ofcare delivery and any changes to a person we supportscondition.
Guiding colleagues as they assistpeople we support with daily activities such as bathing dressingand mobility.
Encouraging participation inactivities and fostering a positive living environment.
Helping to maintain a safe and clean environment adheringto all health and safety regulations. Take responsibility fordelegated areas of work as required including specificprojects.
Participate in or lead colleaguemeetings and undertake and deliver training as required Developmentof individual and group programmes to meet specificobjectives.
Attend meetings and represent theRegistered Manager/Deputy Manager as required
Contribute to the development of services as required in accordancewith directorate policy and/or in response to the needs of peoplewe support
Maintain links with partnerorganisations the voluntary and private sector as appropriate. Workwithin the Gold Standards Framework

Experience andQualifications
Previous experience in a similarrole within a care home or similar environment.
Appropriate qualification NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (orequivalent) or above.
Significant knowledge andapplication of relevant legislation e.g. Care Standards Act 2000Community Care Act 1991.
Significant knowledgeof risk assessment process.
Significantknowledge of care planning process obtained in a similarenvironment. Ability to lead manage and communicate effectivelywith team members.
Ability to plan organise andmonitor own work. Current medication training andexperience.
Experience of understanding andapplying antidiscriminatory practice.
Management of colleagues including use of people managementpolicies and procedures Understanding of Safeguarding Adults policyand procedures
