The successful applicant will be a skilled classroom practitioner with an enthusiasm for teaching in Key Stage 1, and an understanding of the learning journey through EYFS and into the key stage one national. They will have been successful in developing children’s literacy and maths skills and particularly a love of reading. They will recognise the importance of teaching phonics and be able to expertly do so, so as to secure good reading outcomes at Key Stage 1 and beyond. Ideally, the successful candidate will have had some experience of leading a key subject area, such as English, and be able to join our dynamic English Development Team and make an active and impactful contribution to the school and its sister school.
