About the Role:

As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into classrooms across Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of regular teachers. No previous teaching experience is required—just strong communication skills, patience, and a knack for engaging others. This role will allow you to develop leadership skills, learn effective classroom management, and work with students of various ages and abilities.

Whether you’re considering a career in teaching, social work, educational psychology, or another field, this experience will give you transferable skills in communication, adaptability, and problem-solving. You’ll play an active role in supporting students’ learning and growth, making a real difference every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons across various subjects to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Creating a positive classroom environment, managing behaviour, and ensuring a supportive learning space.
  • Encouraging student participation and helping them understand lesson content.
  • Adhering to school policies on behaviour and learning to foster a respectful, well-organized classroom.

Position Details:

  • Start date: November 2024.
  • Full-time and part-time roles are available to suit your schedule.
  • Suitable for graduates from any field of study, unqualified teachers, and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) looking to expand their skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
