Electrician - Approved

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our Decent Homes team and provide high quality work across our Housing portfolio from Hereford to Ludlow. 

In this varied role, no two days will be the same as you carry out a range of electrical duties including 1st and 2nd fixes to bathroom and kitchen and complete consumer unit upgrades. You’ll test installation works upon complete to NIC standard, so will demonstrate a good understanding and adhering to current health and safety legislation and building regulations. As an experienced Electrician, you will be on hand to manage rewiring and provide a customer-focused repairs and maintenance service to our customers. 

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

• An NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) 

• 18th Edition BS7671 

• 2391 Testing and Inspection (or equivalent) 

• Installation experience 

• Full Clean Driving Licence 

We’re proud to offer training and assistance to our Electricians, so if you don't hold the 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification, we’ll help you to achieve it and align your skills with the role. 

There will be a requirement for you to participate in our out-of-hours on-call rota in which a standby payment will be paid plus an hourly rate for each call out attended. This is in addition to the basic salary and dependent on how many times you are on the rota for call out.
