The Role
A position has arisen for a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner - Ophthalmology Theatre Scrub Team to join our core Ophthalmology scrub team within University Hospital Hairmyres. As part of a multidisciplinary team you will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients
This vacancy is open to RNs, ODPs and Band 4 practitioners.

What we'll need you to bring
Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration/ SVQIII in Operating Department Practice/Diploma in Operating Department Practice The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent time management skills Working knowledge of basic information technology
It would be great if you also have
Ability to work varied shifts Ability to travel to other sites when required Interest in perioperative nursing
