Role Summary

As the Orders Principal Trainer (PT) you will be responsible for working with the Orders team to develop and maintain the training environments, materials and lessons for various professions including Doctors, Infection Control and diagnostic procedural areas, credentialing clinical trainers to deliver these courses and delivering some of the training yourself. In addition you will also work on aspects of the EPR system design, configuration and testing.

For this exciting role, we are seeking a candidate with experience of delivering training on either an individual or group basis. As this role may also require work supporting the Inpatient Orders Analysts, the ideal candidate will have a knowledge of Inpatient and /or procedural area workflows and working in a project or transformation environment.

Applicants will be required to have excellent IT and communication skills, and a genuine interest in achieving improved patient pathways through the development and use of the Epic EPR system. You will use your expertise in learning theories, techniques and needs assessment to develop high quality training materials for staff to use the system to its full potential.

As part of this role you will be expected to undertake bespoke training with Epic (our EPR Partner & Supplier). It is likely that training will be held remotely, although some training may require travel to Bristol or USA.

 If you are shortlisted and are not currently Epic certified you will be invited to attend an online assessment. There will be a range of times and dates from which to choose. These will be confirmed once shortlisting has been completed.

This role is based at either Exeter or Barnstaple and will be discussed at interview.

Working Pattern: hours per week, Monday to Friday (to be discussed at interview)

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 4-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 4. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 4 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 3-4 pay bandings ().
