Role: As an Art Teacher, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring art lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Whether you're teaching drawing techniques, exploring different mediums, or guiding students through art history, you'll play a crucial role in helping them develop their artistic skills and confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to express themselves creatively.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support their development through targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and resources in art education to enhance teaching practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Art or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Art at the secondary level, with a track record of student achievement and progress.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for art education, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in school-wide initiatives.
