Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team providing maintenance at fire stations across Merseyside. This role covers several locations across Merseyside for our client, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Services which is managed from our Bootle Helpdesk.

The role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager To deliver electrical and mechanical planned and reactive maintenance and scheduled installation works Apply relevant trade skills to any allocated jobs as directed To order materials and services as required and update records To integrate and communicate effectively with the mechanical engineering and fabric maintenance functions including contractors To oversee specialist sub-contractors To cover for other technicians as necessary in various buildings Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with participation in the on-call rota as required


The person:

Must hold a recognised Electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience; 18th Edition is desirable Must hold and retain a current and valid driving licence Must have experience of building services/maintenance Experience in a FM and multi-site environment is desirable Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal Good IT skills Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude Able to obtain Merseyside police vetting clearance
