We are seeking a committed Maths Teacher to join a dedicated Special School in Havering. This full-time position offers a temporary to permanent contract, allowing you to make a positive impact on students with special educational needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering Maths lessons that cater to the unique needs of students with SEND, ensuring their academic success and personal growth. You will work closely with support staff to create an inclusive and structured learning environment that helps students achieve their potential. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about working with SEND students and looking for excellent opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons for students with special educational needs.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging both academic achievement and personal development.
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Contribute to the school’s initiatives aimed at improving student well-being and educational outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience teaching Maths to SEND students is desirable but not essential.
• Strong understanding of SEND teaching strategies and approaches to subject delivery.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
