Typical shift as a bank Support Worker

Based at Allerdale rough sleeper/Whitehaven move on service. There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from assisting customers with their practical, daily living tasks to working through support plans, helping them to achieve independence. One shift you might be making sure you’re available for overnight support,the next you might be working the day shift and enjoying fish and chips by the sea with your customer. You’ll be helping our vulnerable customers in a variety of services. You might find yourself working in accommodation-based services, a registered care home or supporting our customers in a community or home-based setting. Completing support sessions, daily check in's and customer involvement sessions.

You bring

Enjoyment working with a range of customers. Flexibility to work at short notice, as you’ll be the one picking your next shift.  Experience as a Support Worker. It is important that you have worked in this type of environment before. A positive, can do and caring attitude, with the desire to learn to continue making a difference to our customers lives. Previous experience of working with support plans, recording, and using information concisely and effectively. If you are a real people person and are confident working in different services, locations, and teams, then this is the job for you.

Our team

You’ll join our wider services in Cumbriaregion, and the great thing is you can pick up shifts in any of these services that need it Currently we have hours available in our Workington and Whitehaven services with our managers James & Joanna. Our team are all super passionate about what we do We’re a supportive bunch.

Job details

Flexible working hours We pay £50 per sleep in shift We’re looking for you to work across the West Cumbria region which include our services in Workington and Whitehaven.  Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans /doing mandatory learning / keeping in touch with colleagues. To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
