Our General Insurance team are currently recruiting for a Solicitor or Charted Legal Executive (CILEX Certified) with experience in Housing Disrepair and Personal Injury to join the team in Leeds or Newcastle Upon Tyne .

The role will be based from our Leeds or Newcastle office, and we offer a hybrid working arrangement with 2 or 3 days working from the office and 2 or 3 days from home.

About the role

The General Insurance team in Newcastle are instructed by our insurer clients to pursue housing disrepair claims, be it commercial or domestic premises.

Ensuring, in conjunction with the partner and associates, that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice. Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices

About you

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

A least 2 years experience working in EL/PL Housing Disrepair and Personal Injury, with litigation experience. Experience in running your own case load A self-motivated individual who can provide guidance, supervision and support to junior team members. The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients, in writing and person Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines Someone who is able to demonstrate a real desire to develop their career with DWF
