If so, Teaching Personnel have a number of opportunities available whereby you are able to gain key experience within a number of excellent Catholic High Schools under the Archdiocese of Liverpool.

We wish to hear from Graduates and aspiring teachers that are available immediately and are based in Wigan and Warrington.

The Graduate Teaching Assistant role in summary;

  • Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant role
  • Supporting the teachers and students within the department.
  • Payrate £84-95 dependant on experience
  • Immediate start dates available.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain paid experience within a local supportive secondary school that committed to your future development as a teacher. In addition to the paid experience you will have the opportunity to secure yourself a place on a teacher training course from September 2024

Typical responsibilities as a Graduate Teaching Assistant;

  • Supporting pupils who struggle to engage within lessons and require additional support within their studies
  • Provide KS3 and GCSE tuition sessions across a range of subjects including Maths, English, Science and Humanities
  • Lead small classes and deliver pre set revision resources
    • Track and monitor the progress made by pupils within sessions and feedback to senior management
    • There will be opportunities to cover lessons with support from senior leaders within the school.
