A bit about the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in product design, furniture, or manufacturing. In this role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of new product development projects, from initial concept through to final production. The ideal candidate is a skilled multi-tasker who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is eager to contribute to our growth journey at Pineapple.
Some of the key responsibilities
- Plotting project timelines in coordination with the Heads of Department.
- Maintaining all project documentation, such as trackers, plans and reports.
- Communicating with team members regularly in assigning tasks and updating progress.
- Organising team meetings and note taking, ensuring the team’s weekly priority lists and actions are updated and shared.
- Tracking project progress and providing regular feedback to Heads of Department and Senior Management, communicating any project risks and opportunities.
- Preparing presentations to update senior management on project progress as required on behalf of the NPD & Materials team.
- Maintaining record keeping spreadsheet of quotations for review with the Head of Product Development.
- Liaising with our transport team to organise delivery and pick up of products.
- Component ordering and raising PO’s.
- Updating data within our new product information sheets.
- Assisting with keeping product costing sheets up to date.
- Logging the NPD & Materials teams’ project working hours.
- Assisting the team in product research and report generation as required.
- Maintain log of patent applications and IP clearance, keeping design protection records up to date.
Requirements
- Proven experience of project planning and project planning tools, managing physical products.
- Excellent MS office knowledge, particularly MS PowerPoint and MS Excel. In the future we will be using MS Projects.
- Highly organised with an exceptional eye for detail.
- The ability to multitask to a high level and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good research and report writing skills.
- A background in Manufacturing and / or Design, or an interest in design / product development would be advantageous.
- Must be passionate about the brand, with a curious mindset who is willing to learn.
- Have a flexible, can-do attitude to work.
- Confident, with the ability to be proactive.
- Hardworking, conscientious and take pride in your work.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- A high degree of self-motivation and drive.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
