Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Salary: £80 - £120 per day

About the Role:

GSL Education are actively seeking a qualified SEMH Teaching Assistant for immediate placement at client primary schools in Hexham. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Provide personalised support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Monitor and record student progress and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Be available for work Monday to Friday.
  • Be proactive, empathetic, and patient.
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to go through the process with us).
  • Provide a fully checkable work history.

Furthermore, GSL Education are currently offering £100 for successful referrals of either teachers or teaching assistants We also provide a complimentary two-day Team Teach Qualification to candidates booked for long-term work in our schools. Conditions apply, and spaces are limited
