We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an ASB Manager on behalf of a well-established housing association in Merseyside on a permanent basis, where you'll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high performing, quality services are provided across communities, dealing with a range of ASB & other tenancy breach cases including domestic violence, hate crime and hoarding.
Your new role
- Leading, managing, supervising, motivating and developing a team of ASB Officers to enable the provision of high-quality services.
- Assisting with the development of a Safer Estates Strategy, reviewing the current ASB & DV policies, Tenancy Policy and any other associated policies/procedures to ensure they're current and compliant with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Supporting local authorities in the delivery of their Community Safety Strategy.
- Prepare and present reports & statistical data as required to the Board.
- Deliver projects and programmes associated with the service.
- Ensure regular audits are completed to ensure processes and policies are being followed, and ensure the service is compliant with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Management of budgets
- Working closely with Neighbourhood & Legal teams as required to ensure timely and effective case management.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant legal frameworks and up-to-date knowledge of the national agenda & current policy issues within the housing sector
- Evidence of implementing strategies, policies, operational plans and managing risk
- Excellent knowledge of industry best practice and ability to integrate this into policy, processes and procedures
- Experience of performance management including setting, agreeing and monitoring standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking, report writing and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation & influencing skills, assertiveness and political sensitivity
- Experience of leadership and management at senior level, including financial management experience and managing budgets
