Bonus up to 5% annual salary

Our client are seeking an IT Technician to join the team in the centre of Bristol. The IT Technician will receive a salary of up to £28,000 with an additional bonus of up to 5% annual salary. With local transport links and onsite parking, the IT Technician will have easily commutable routes available, both public and private. Overall, we are seeking for a competent IT Technician with 1-2 years of experience to join our growing client, the responsibilities for the IT Technician or below.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installing and configuring Software onto new Hardware and Equipment.
  • Talking staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face, through email or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
  • Prioritising and managing open ticket cases.
  • Managing External Communication Infrastructure within the business.
  • Managing IT Software Contracts and Monthly costs for the department.
  • IT Budget Management.
  • Managing and Purchasing IT equipment for the business.
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving any software and hardware faults.
  • Providing IT support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • Assist with carrying out major upgrades throughout the year.
  • Maintaining and updating the IT knowledge base.
  • Maintaining and updating the IT Audit.
  • Managing eligibility, compliance, and submission of business Cyber Essentials Certification.
  • Managing the rollout of new equipment throughout the business.
  • Assisting the IT team with open tasks and cases.
  • Working on a task until completion (including working with external support, if appropriate).
  • Providing day to day management and support to IT Apprentice.
  • And any other tasks as required by the IT Department.
