Job Vacancy: SEN Teaching Assistant, Failsworth

Location:  Failsworth, Manchester

We are in search of a compassionate and skilled  SEN Teaching Assistant  to join a lovely primary school in Failsworth. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with a range of SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment.
  • Encourage children’s independence, self-confidence, and social integration.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children.
  • Enhanced DBS check (GSL Education can support you with this)
