About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Newton Abbot, Devon. This flexible, supply role will provide the opportunity to support children’s learning in a dynamic and supportive educational setting. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general classroom support to students, working under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Assist with planning and delivering learning activities in line with the curriculum.
  • Support individual students, including those with special educational needs, ensuring an inclusive and positive learning experience.
  • Help maintain a productive and safe classroom environment.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in class activities.
  • Assist with the tracking of student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

Key Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working with children is essential, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students of all backgrounds.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young learners.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different classroom environments.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • No formal teaching qualifications required, but any relevant experience or training would be beneficial.
