Theatre Team Leader within Theatres at BGTH

Main duties of the job

The post requires a suitably qualified Registered Nurse/ ODP. We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic, committed and able to act as a role model to provide Safe, Personal and Effective care and enthusiasm and dedication to Team Leading within the Theatre department.

The post holder will be expected to have a range of scrub or anaesthetic & recovery experience

You will receive a comprehensive induction, in-house training and your on-going training and development will be supported.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Your role will be to Lead the surgical and anaesthetic Theatre team and support junior & senior staff. You will be required to promote the highest possible standards of care based on professionally determined standards and accept accountability for the patient as an individual.

You will contribute to the implementation of nursing policies based on National and Local strategies for Health Care. This post will predominantly be based at Burnley General Hospital but some rotation across both sites may be required. This post does include participation in long day, evenings, weekends, and and night rotation.
