The Glen Medical Group have an exciting opportunity for a salaried GP (4 -6 sessions) with a view to partnership to join our team.

Main duties of the job

As a salaried GP, you will support the partners to manage a busy, interesting clinical caseload ensuring the highest standard of care for all registered and temporary patients. The post holder will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of an NHS general practitioner using the standards expected by the GMC.

About us

We are a growing practice of 11,000 patients, located in South Tyneside which is an easy commute from Newcastle by road, bike or train (we are situated just next the Metro).

The Team consists of 3 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GP, 1 ANP, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 NA , 1TNA and 1 HCA supported by a large reception/administration team.

We are part of an active PCN Group working collaboratively with excellent support from the wider teams including Physios, Social Prescribers, Mental Health Practitioners and Pharmacists which enables our GPs and other health care professional to dedicate to deliver the right care at the right time by the right person.

Job responsibilities

To work as an autonomous practitioner that is responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care, whilst complying with the GMS contract.

In accordance with the practice timetable as agreed the post holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties.

Furthermore, the post holder will adhere the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive and collaborative working relationship with the multi disciplinary team.

Medical degree Full registration with GMC

GP registrar training

Experience

* Experience of working in primary care. * Experience or interest in training other trainee GPs and trainee practitioners.

Experience of using EMIS clinical system.
