Salary Scale: £76.92 to £103.04 per day

About the Role:

GSL Education is looking for a passionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a position at one of our schools in Basingstoke. In this role, you will provide tailored support to individual students, foster a love for learning, and help advance their academic progress both in one-on-one and small-group settings. This is a great opportunity to shape the next generation within GSL's innovative and supportive teaching environment.

1:1Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Assisting students in defining and reaching their academic objectives.
  • Working in tandem with educators to devise and execute customised educational strategies.
  • Aiding students in managing day-to-day responsibilities and tasks.
  • Offering emotional reinforcement and motivation.
  • Tracking student advancement and communicating updates to instructors.
  • Delivering support within standard classroom environments.
  • Collaborating with teachers on lesson structuring and readiness.
  • Guiding students through classroom and homework assignments.

1:1Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Must hold a relevant qualification in teaching or education.
  • Previous experience working within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.

To work with GSL Education as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you should: 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
