Construction Planner

CR Civil Engineering part of the RSK Group have a great opportunity for a Construction Planner to join their growing midlands/south team and can be based in the West Midlands or South, UK.

The Role:

The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work and be part of a well-established team to work within the Highways and Water sector and help us deliver successful schemes.  The Planner will take the lead on all planning requirements within the region and have the ability grow the department, Nationwide.

Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed programmes and provide substantiation to support submissions
• Review tender documentation, works information, and contractual documentation
• Work closely with the Project teams and Senior Management to ensure programme updates are completed in line with relevant deadlines
• Collate weekly progress information from the site team (on site and remotely)
• Work closely with the Commercial Team to ensure programmes are analyse and updated to analyse Compensation Events/Variations/Early Warning impacts
• Deliver and lead efficiently revising the programme, based on additional work and delays, that have impacted the programme
• Build, develop and maintain relationships with our clients and their partners
• Visit sites/regional offices as required
• Have good understanding and knowledge of NEC4

Key Requirements/Experience:

• Full UK Driving License
• Ability to work well in a team
• Good communication skills
• Have a proven track record of working on major projects
• Good knowledge and understanding of highways and water sectors.
• 5+ years’ experience of being a planner / 10+ years’ experience working in construction
• Be competent in using P6 as our main site planning software

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience.
