The Haematology team at Royal Free and the Barnet and Chase Farm Site is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Haematology Band 8a Advance Nurse Practitioner.

The post holder will be responsible in supporting and developing specialist malignant and non-malignant haematology services at the Trust. Will provide leadership and support development to the Haematology specialist nursing team as well as being responsible for the delivery of high quality, responsive, safe, and effective care that improves patient outcomes and patient experience.

The role involves close collaboration with the Consultant Haematologists and applicants should have the ability to work autonomously, have excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and be motivated and enthusiastic.

Main duties of the job

JOB SUMMARY: The Nurse Practitioner for Haematology will support and develop the malignant and non-malignant service we provide to patients at the Royal Free Hospital sites, which will include provision of nurse led clinics.

The post will incorporate the dimensions of expert clinical practice, education, leadership, management and research.

to provide support for patients receiving treatment for multiple haematological conditions expand the provision of nurse led clinics and enable the establishment of nurse-led prescribing clinics to assess patients on treatment in collaboration with the Consultant Lead Cancer Nurse and Clinical Lead for Haematology, identify and interpret (at local level) co-ordinating service development and implementation across the Trust. to establish nurse led clinics for patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapy, and to be responsible for excellent standards of nursing care to patients through the planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating nurse-led clinics and services. to review and support the patient pre-immunotherapy information & education sessions across sites to liaise with all key members of the multidisciplinary team to advise and support colleagues in the delivery of specialised patient care across professional boundaries.
