About the Role:
As a Boilermaker , you will show up each day with a sense of enthusiasm and commitment to helping ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest quality.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Carry out day to day fabrication and refurbishment duties whilst ensuring an optimum work environment by adhering to production, quality, and environmental and safe work practices Undertake daily work activities in a manner to ensure optimum product quality, environmental, occupational health and safety standards and throughout Undertake boiler making, welding and associated activities with the emphasis on safety, productivity, cost, quality, continuous improvement, delivery, and environmental concerns. Completion of daily job sheets and associated documentation as determined by the Workshop Supervisor / Leading Hand. Ensure all work complies with Specifications, standards, all statutory and relevant code requirements (i.e. AS1210, AS1554-4 FP etc) and in a manner consistent with Bradken policies and procedures Conduct pre-start serviceability and safety inspections of the work area, equipment and material. Ensure infrastructure (plant and services, tools and equipment, jigs and fixtures, materials handling, etc.) is checked regularly and kept in good working order. Identify and notify the relevant personnel of any production-operating problems so the corrective actions can be addressed. Ensure all quality documentation is maintained to meet all customer requirements, compliance and any relevant standards. Refer to each project drawings and follow the production directions accordingly. Actively participate in the on-going process of improving the environmental performance of the plant with specific mention to housekeeping, waste production, recycling, spillage, noise and dust emissions Undertake other tasks such as forklift operation, profile cutting, and materials management etc within capabilities and training, when directed to by Workshop Supervisor or other site management.

You will also have:
Recognised Trade Qualification essential (Engineering Fabrication preferred) Previous experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment Forklift licence Welding certified to required standard (ie AS 1554.4) Certified to Work at Heights (desirable) Certified to work in Confined Space (desirable) Knowledge of safe working procedures Sound competency of English literacy and numeracy The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
