The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic Housing Options Support Officer with excellent organisational, customer service and administrative skills to provide a range of administrative and reception support across the Resettlement, and Housing Options Teams.
You will provide direct customer contact and relevant advice and assistance to clients and customers who make enquiries to the Housing Options teams. You will be required to implement administrative support to ensure that actions remain on track, reporting progress to the relevant Team Managers within the delivery services, input project data and customer records into the ICT systems in a timely and accurate manner, and retrieve and share information appropriately across the service(s).
You will also work in conjunction with and support other Community Housing Services staff, and liaise with internal and external partners, and community organisations.
The role will be split between two separate teams and will require two days working in the Council’s Housing Options Office. (Tuesday and Wednesday)
This is an exciting role within Community Housing Services and an opportunity for someone to contribute to the success of the Housing and Resettlement programmes in Bolton.
About You
The post-holder will be playing a crucial role within the Community Housing Service teams. You will be expected to exercise autonomy under the general direction of your Team Manager. You will deal with often complex customer enquiries, seeking appropriate information where necessary to offer relevant advice and assistance in relation to Housing enquiries.
You will be required to use a degree of initiative to ensure the systems and processes are effectively followed and provide essential administrative support across the teams.
The post-holder will be expected to determine priorities, maintain project trackers, identify where corrective action needs to be taken and escalate issues as required. Training on processes, policies and systems will be given.
You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and priorities tasks effectively to ensure that programmes of work are delivered in a timely manner and meet all objectives.
