What you will be doing
as a Health Safety & well-being manager Work with Health, Safety & Wellbeing Senior Management to ensure appropriate implementation of the delivery plan for the geographic regions. Strengthen the management of investigations to ensure effective root cause analysis and implementation of preventative and corrective actions. Undertake site inspections, and assurance visits focusing on high and medium-risk sites to deliver the 5-year assurance program. Build valuable internal and external relationships with stakeholders, supply chain partners, and regulators. Inclusion with the ‘on-call’ Health, Safety & Wellbeing ‘24/7’ rota to ensure functional support for incident management. The base location for the role is Reading, Clearwater Court. Working hours: 36 hours per week.What you should bring to the role
NEBOSH Diploma and have or working towards CMIOSH. In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Wellbeing legislation, and its practical application. Ability to negotiate flexibly and constructively at the highest levels. Expertise relating to specific risks in Water, Wastewater, and /or Construction would be advantageous Knowledge of handling chemicals and/or toxic gas and liquid and/or knowledge of street works and excavations would be beneficial Ideally knowledge of process safety Full UK Driving Licence.What’s in it for you?
Competitive salary from £60,000 per annum to £70,000 per annum depending on skills and experience + car allowance £5,800. Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays) Annual Bonus. Private Medical Health Care.
