Senior Java Developer role is 70% middle tierServer and 30% presentation tier. Developers are expected implementrequirements from the front end through to the database / OOMlayer.

Responsibilities:

Work withBusiness Analysts to understand requirements and translate todesign

Source codedevelopment

Unit test casedevelopment

Functional/system integration testingsupport and Deployment

Support production asneeded and meet development schedules

Qualifications:

BachelorsDegree in Computer Science or a relatedfield.

Minimum 5 years of experience developingwebbased applications

Minimum 5 years developmentexperience in Java/J2EE technologies

StrongCommunication Skills

The successful candidatemust have in order of importance:

Experience withSpring Spring MVC an ORM framework (myBatis or Hibernatepreferred)

Experience using and implementingRESTful web services

Experience with JavaJavaScript JSP CSS HTML jQuery

Experience withmultithreading using core Java libraries particularly the Executorframework.

Knowledge of XML JSON and AJAXtechniques

Strong understanding of SQL databasedesign

Ability to effectively prioritize andexecute tasks in a highpressure environment.

Thebelow skills are nice to have in addition to the required skills inorder of preference:

Experience with JBoss ApacheTomcat

Experience with Angular React Node.js andXSLT

Experience with unit testing frameworks suchas jUnit or Selenium

Strong understanding ofstored procedures

Experience with Cloudtechnologies focused on AWS

Experience with CI/CDPipelines

Familiarity with Web applicationsecurity considerations

Must have goodunderstanding of nonfunctional requirements (performancescalability maintainability security)

Priorexperience developing property & casualtyapplications

Familiarity with developingcrossbrowser and crossplatform compatiblesolutions
