Together we are Trusted to Serve Scotland.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Intervention Manager within the SCSP Flooding Solutions Team to be accountable for delivery of flooding and combined sewer overflows solutions through appropriate optioneering to meet Scottish Waters commitments to customers and the environment.

What you’ll do

You will be accountable for managing our Technical Consultant Partners to deliver and promote capital investment schemes to our Alliance Partners through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.


You’ll work closely with partners and stakeholders to find effective solutions for flooding and water discharge issues.

You'll manage schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure projects run smoothly.

Build strong relationships and networks, you'll contribute to a customer-focused approach.

You'll have the freedom to be creative and flexible in a supportive team environment.

What you’ll need

Ability to work across a wide range of projects with challenging timeframes and multiple stakeholders.

Experience of applying the principles of project management and planning on the early stages of an engineering project with particular focus on feasibility and optioneering.

Experience of working within compliance of project governance processes including budget and cost management, maintaining and obtaining required approvals and managing milestones.

Ability to communicate across the business and with external Stakeholders alongside strong influencing skills.

Experience in the engagement and management of engineering consultants across all disciplines.

Specific knowledge of ensuring process compliance regarding project governance, health and safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Ability to make decisions, adept at determining the best engineering concept scope, while effectively planning, prioritizing, and delivering results amidst handling large volumes of complex data.

A valid UK Driver’s License.

The not-so-small print

This role will be a Grade 7. If you’re new to Scottish Water, you’ll join us on a starting salary of £41,000. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £51,970.
