Job Title: Nursery Assistant

About the role:

Teaching Personnel, a leading education recruitment company, are delighted to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nursery Assistant / Teacher to join a vibrant and nurturing school in Derby.

Key responsibilities:

-          Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities to support the early development of children.

-          Create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every child feels values and encouraged to explore and learn.

-          Monitor and assess the progress of each child, providing feedback and support them to achieve their full potential.

-          Work collaboratively with collegues, parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s education and well-being.

-          Maintain accurate and up-to date records of children progress and development.

-          Implement the Early Years Foundation (EYFS) Framework effectively,  ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements:

-          Experience as a Nursery Assistant / Teacher.

-          A recognised qualification (NVQ, CACHE, QTS, NQT) or equivalent

-          A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and the application of this in a nursery setting

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and professionals.

-          A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous professional development

-          A valid Enhanced Child Only DBS (on the update service) or willingness to undergo one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
