Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to lead the Urology Outpatient Department team based at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford.

The Urology Outpatient Department is a busy and diverse clinical area, offering a broad scope of clinics and treatments encompassing both benign and Cancer related Urological conditions. Both medical and nursing teams hold clinics within the Department.

The Department Manager/Sister is a key member of the team who acts as a role model delivering both clinical leadership and line management of the OPD team. 

This role requires an enthusiastic, committed and professional individual, motivated to ensure the delivery of high quality care and dedicated to ensuring the best possible patient experience. 

Main duties of the job Use their expert knowledge and clinical judgement to lead the team to deliver high quality care. Monitor and maintain standards of care and provide this information to the Directorate. Assess and evaluate, with patients and /or carers, the effectiveness of the treatment and care provided and make changes as needed. Work across professional, organisational and system boundaries and proactively develop and sustain new partnerships and networks to influence and improve health, outcomes and healthcare delivery systems.
