An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator position within the East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) Recruitment Team on a permanent basis based at our Trust's HQ at Horizon Place, Nottingham.

The Recruitment Team are part of the People Directorate, where different specialists come together as one team to improve the experience of working in the NHS for everyone.

The Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator will be at the forefront of ensuring our candidates and new recruits receive an effective and comprehensive recruitment and onboarding experience. The post holder will be pivotal in the monitoring and coordination of a full cycle recruitment and onboarding journey so once a candidate joins our EMAS Team, their pastoral and development needs are met.

Operating within the recruitment team, the post holder will contribute to the Trust achieving its strategic aims and service objectives through the implementation of effective HR, OD & OL strategies that ensure recruitment, development, and retention of a high-quality workforce.

Main duties of the job

By utilising excellent communication and organisation skills, you will coordinate a variety of recruitment and onboarding activities across internal stakeholders and third party providers to support a busy Recruitment Team in the delivery of the Trust's Workforce Plan.

Being able to troubleshoot issues which impact on the experience of new recruits, and delivery of an effective workforce plan,you will be key to ensuring a positive, quality recruitment and onboarding service is delivered.

A sound understanding of Recruitment and Selection processes and a positive and proactive approach to providing excellent customer service will ensure you can provide support and guidance to stakeholders across the Organisation and ensure that the pastoral and practical needs of our internal and external candidates, bank workers and overseas recruits to EMAS are met.

Qualifications and Professional Development

Essential

CPP in Recruitment & Selection (or equivalent specialist in-depth diploma) or equivalent specialist experience. Member of a professional Recruitment/HR body (ie CMI in Recruitment & Selection level 5 or CIPD level 3) or willingness to work towards achieving. Evidence of continuous professional development

Desirable

Educated to Degree Level Qualification in Effective Mentoring & Coaching. Compliance or audit experience Project management experience

Experience

Essential

Recruitment and Selection support for operational and corporate functions. Experience of managing all stages of the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process (advertising,shortlisting, interviewing, pre-employment checks; advising on progression against workforce plans) Practical experience of recruitment law and terms and condition of service. Experience of dealing with third party service providers. Experience of dealing with multiple streams of work. Experience in the use of recruitment management systems for example Trac or other recruitment systems. Experience in conducting and ensuring compliance with pre-employment checks ( ID, Right to Work, DBS, Qualifications, Occupational Health and Reference checks). Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information. Experience of collating customer service feedback and actioning change in relation to outcomes. Experience of maintaining and establishing new ways of working to improve personal and departmental efficiency.

Desirable

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

Awareness of different Trust roles, clinical settings and clinical and non-clinical workforce demands. Familiar with using a range of recruitment and employee-based IT packages (, ESR, TRAC) Awareness of NHS Employment Checks Standards and Regulations. Sound level of computer literacy and technical competence, including Microsoft Office packages Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Creation of reports collecting and analysing data from different sources ( Trac and ESR) containing a range of recruitment statistics and workforce data.

Desirable
