Cover Supervisor

Location: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire

Pay: £ - £ per day

Start Date: September 2024

Contract Type: Part time, Temporary

About the Role:

GSL Education is currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor in an innovative and highly achieving school in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and passionate individual who will inspire the next generation of young learners. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a school setting, potentially leading to a career in teaching.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education for students in the absence of their regular teachers. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring that students remain engaged and on task. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience and make a positive impact on students' learning journeys. You will support students across various subjects and year groups, making adaptability and a proactive approach key attributes for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Managing classroom behavior and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting students in their learning and addressing any queries.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Providing feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behavior.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with children or young adults, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom environments.
