Join our team at mhs homes as a Part-Time Administrator/Receptionist within the Foyer Service, where you'll make a positive impact on the lives of young people with challenging and complex behaviours.

Role Overview:

As a Part-Time Administrator/Receptionist, you will be an integral part of our team, offering professional and efficient administrative support. Your role will involve greeting visitors, managing calls, and maintaining an organized reception area. You will also support our residents and staff with various administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check ID of all visitors promptly, ensuring they sign in and out.
  • Record and monitor residents on the safeguarding monitoring sheet.
  • Use and understand all relevant computer systems and software.
  • Follow mhs Safeguarding policy and procedures.
  • Attend required training to enhance customer service skills.
  • Report safeguarding concerns to support officers.
  • Comply with health and safety policies and legislation.
  • Operate as a lone worker when necessary, following mhs homes' lone worker policies.
  • Perform additional duties to ensure the efficient operation of mhs homes.

What You’ll Bring:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good maths and English skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for engaging with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong listening skills, patience, and empathy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to handle difficult customer queries and situations, prioritizing customer needs.

Personal Qualities:

  • Willingness to undertake training and personal development.
  • Resilience and professionalism in challenging conversations.
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to support a wide range of customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Experience in providing customer service within a social housing environment.
